Where is Buchanan Memorial Hall located?
We’re located in Milton of Buchanan on the B837 between Drymen and Balmaha. We’re a mile from the shires of Loch Lomond and accessible by car, bus, bicycle or foot.
Is parking available?
Yes, we have a modest gravel carpark that can hold around 10 – 20 cars (subject to requirements). There is a large public car park in Balmaha for additional vehicles or overspill.
Is there catering facilities?
The hall has a small kitchen with access to hot water boilers, a hob and sink. It is suitable for the preparation of refreshments but is not sufficient to provide facilities for larger events or more complex catering needs. If you are using external caterers, they can set up in the small hall, or in a catering tent in the hall carpark.
Are dogs allowed?
Assistance dogs are welcome at all events. Other dogs may be permitted on an event-by-event basis according to the needs and requirements of the hirer. Please speak to the event organiser for further information.

Yes, the hall is bookable on an hourly or daily basis either as a whole venue or room by room.
Will there be other events on at the same time as my booking?
It depends on the type of booking you make. If you only book the small or large hall on a room by room basis, the other space can be booked by other users. If you require exclusive use of the space throughout your event, please book the whole hall as we cannot guarantee the other room will remain vacant, particularly at peek times (typically week day evenings).
